I use my individual work to delve into the human state and how we create attachments and connections with our human experience.
While I have been swept up in the world of film in my many opportunities, uni work and sixth form work, I have been able to delve into my own corners of the film world. This unguided freedom that I’ve had has allowed me to look into topics I may not have touched on had I just kept to curriculum or briefs.
One of my favourite things I’ve looked into is human connection. As we all know, the pandemic has meant we are the least emotionally and physically connected that we have ever been. I wanted to delve into how we establish connection; through our relationships with objects, people, and environments. This spawned my mini series ‘Places, Faces, Traces’, where I looked into how we make connections in a disconnected world.
